IGA NATIONAL CONFERENCE

What a great line-up we have for you this year!

Sunday morning will start with Australia’s premier illusionist and escapologist; this should get you warmed up for what is to come for the next three days.

The business sessions will provide the opportunity to be inspired by leading Australian and international speakers looking at world trends in digital and social marketing, and learn from a couple of independent businesswomen who have thought outside the square, offered something different, are risk takers and have been innovative in business.

We will again have the popular Q&A session with members of the Metcash Senior Leadership Team and National Retailer Council on Monday, so if you have any questions for:

· Ian Morrice (Metcash Group CEO)
· Steven Cain (CEO Supermarkets)
· Algy Pereira (EGM Merchandise Wholesale)
· George Saoud (Divisional CFO)
· Madeleine Fitzpatrick (General Manager Marketing)
· Mark Hewlett (EGM Retail Network)
· Ian Ashcroft (National Retailer Council Chairman)
· Ben Ryan (National Retailer Council Deputy Chairman)

You can send them in advance to [email protected]. These questions will be collated and sent to the group for answering at the Q&A session, or you will be able to SMS your questions live during the conference.

Tuesday, start your day with a great buffet breakfast and then head over to the Expo, as it is opening early at 9:30am, so get over there and don’t miss out on all the Super Tuesday offers and deals! We are pretty sure you will leave this year motivated and ready for your store to be the best store in town.

MON 17TH JULY

8:30am – 9:15am

NAOMI SIMSON, FOUNDER OF REDBALLOON, ENTERPENEUR & PRESENTER ON SHARK TANK

At last year’s expo we talked about changing shopper behaviours, our opportunities and IGA’s future brand direction. Our network of independently owned stores are uniquely placed to create a different kind of grocery experience, one that mixes the charm and know-how of a local store with the competitive prices and quality of a national chain. The IGA shopping experience will have ‘heart & soul’ if we can deliver on 3 brand ingredients – celebrate our individual character, provide service with soul and be the heart of the community.

At this session, we’ll share some great examples from within our network and how you can activate areas of differentiation in your store. We’ll also share the exciting new IGA look and feel. DSA remains critical in delivering shopper expectations, having the IGA tools to then differentiate your offer from the opposition will position your business as the best store in town.
